How does the brain solve causal inference?

Intervenant : Ruben MORENO-BOTE, Theoretical and Cognitive Neuroscience (TCN) Group à l'Université Pompeu Fabra de Barcelone

Lieu : Salle Mont Blanc

Résumé : Causal inference lies at the heart of the most difficult computations  that the brain accomplishes. In this talk I will review some past work and more recent results from our lab on how spiking networks might be  solving this type of problems, using perceptual bistability as a model phenomenon. I will also overview ongoing projects in the lab, which expand on our goal of understanding how the brain travels from sensory representations to inferred objects.
